More than 40 years after his death, the body of former CIA scientist Dr. Frank Olson has been exhumed. Olsonís son Eric is convinced his father was murdered by agents of the American government because he wanted to leave the CIA. Dr. Frank Olson was an expert for anthrax and other biological weapons and had top security clearance. It has been eight years since the exhumation. Eric Olson is still searching for the reasons behind his fatherís death in November of 1953. Eric was nine years old at the time. Itís a quest he inherited as the oldest of three children: to solve the mystery of their fatherís death.
I wouldn't call the evidence in this case far from conclusive, but I wouldn't be surprised if the CIA killed one of its own if they felt he/she had loose lips. The film is an interesting investigation, but I think of more relevance are the details that emerge about the CIA. For example, the involvement of chemical weapons in the North Korea War was the first I time I had heard that. The link with Anthrax is that the victim worked in the same lab that 50 years later, Fort Detrick, is associated with being responsible for the 2001 Anthrax scare. This is not ellaborated much in this film.
