Who are you guys? Do you plan on expanding? We will be adding films periodically with the help of our hosting partners. In the future we may look at ways to individually license films. No matter what, we will always offer our films for free. Are you a non profit company? Right now, we aren't a non profit company. This means that your donations are not tax deductible. We are in the process of filing as a non profit. We definitely aren't doing this for the money! Why isn't the video streaming smoothly? This could be either a problem with your connection or our hosting partner. Even high speed modem speed does fluctuate so we encourage you to try again later or use a different connection. If the problem persists then please email us and we will see if we can find a better stream of the film. Or you can simply pause the film and let it load before restarting. Why do documentary film makers allow their films to be streamed for free on the internet? Many documentary film makers realize that having their films streamed on the internet for free will not only educate people on their perspective but will also encourage people to purchase the DVD. Do producers give you permission to show their films? We follow all copyright laws. We deal with streaming partners who handle all copyright issues. By imbedding films we can not legally be liable for any copyright infringement as stated by the DMCA. If you feel that your film is online without your permission, we will forward you to our streaming partners. When they agree that a copyright infringement has taken place, your film will be removed from our site. Can I get you to post a film? We are always open to film suggestions and recommendations. If you want to increase the chances that we watch and post the film, then you can post the film on Google Video and send us the link. In doing so, it's between you, Google and the film producers to ensure that no copyright infringement has taken place. Are the movies on your site true? We try to post films that we think are honest. We can't be certain that every statement from every movie on our site is true. We aren't a news organization nor have we researched everything. We will leave it up to you and your research skills to come to that decision. We do think that all of the films on our site are worth watching and do provide a lot of interesting facts many of which have been ignored by the mainstream media and our politicians. We encourage you to watch the films before coming to assumptions. They might surprise you. How can I make a difference? You can make a difference by spreading the word about Freedocumentaries.org. The more people that know what's going on in the world, the better off the world will be. What political affiliation is your organization? We do not endorse any candidate or support any political party. We believe that every person has the potential to be corrupted by power. You can find films on our site that take a critical look at the last several US administrations whether they were democrat or republican. We attempt to do what the media should do; bring light to important issues to force our politicians to be honest. Any successful democracy is dependent on the people making sure politician adhere to the policies which they were elected on. Do you sell DVDs of the documentaries on this site? Unfortunately, we do not currently provide any system of purchasing DVDs or other merchandise from the films. Hopefully, we can expand to this in the future, but for now we don’t have the resources to offer you this feature. We are happy to report, however, that many of the filmmakers do offer other places on the web to buy their merchandise. How do I download the films? We had a download feature available and there have been some technical issues with it. We are working to resolve those and when we do, you will be able to see a download link clearly above the Watch Film Now button. The film is not loading, what do I do? The following is a list of steps from our Technical Crew to try before sending us an e-mail:
